Steps

1

Take out all carpeting, seatbelt anchors, miscellaneous hardware, and the second-row floor. Next, remove the spot welds from the infill panels by drilling them out.

2

Mark the necessary area on the rear tub floor to accommodate YRM 318. After confirming your measurements, carefully cut the rear tub floor, ensuring not to damage the central under floor top hat (YRM 098A) and fuel lines.

3

Take out the second-row footwell to rear floor upstand (YRM 114A) from the rear body chassis mid crossmember (YRM 053A) and 2nd row floor (YRM 129A)

4

Remove the mid crossmember and trim the two upper hats that may obstruct the fitting of YRM 318. This presents an opportunity to address any superficial rust on your chassis by employing a wire wheel to prepare and paint inaccessible regions pre-emptively.

5

Next, the upcoming step involves cutting the wheel arches to fit YRM 338. A drawing has been prepared to illustrate the necessary cutouts for this purpose, which is accessible for viewing. After cutting out the template, smooth the edges using a file and various grades of sandpaper.

6

This shows the installation of the Rear Body Chassis Mid Crossmember using the mid crossmember S/S Fixing Kit (YRM 053B) and applied YRM 1912 rubber gasket to upstand brackets. This will give a protective layer between the mild steel and aluminium.

7

Depending on your chassis, you may need to dry fit your seats to ensure you have the correct location for the 2nd row seat supports (YRM 318) as the holes may not be in your chassis. Once you have drilled your holes and carefully fitted the J clips from the YRM 1098 fixing kit, you will be able to fit the 2nd row seat supports.

8

Next, the new wheel arch fronts (YRM 338) must be installed at the adjusted angle for the seats. YRM 338A and 338B are supplied in two components that require pop riveting together before being attached to the wheel arch.

9

Use YRM 1913 rubber gasket on the 2nd row seat support (YRM 318) to create a protective layer between the mild steel and aluminium.

10

Create a template to facilitate the drilling of holes in your floor to correspond with the upstand bracket.

11

Reinstall the second row footwell onto the rear floor upstand and the second row floor. Once properly fitted and sealed, proceed to refit all carpets.

12

The final phase of the installation process includes fitting the 2nd row seats and securing the seatbelt hardware.
